To provide monthly events to help educate women on the need for a healthy body, mind and spirit.

Healthy Woman is an affinity program for hospitals affiliated with Community Health Systems. It was created in 2004 to serve as a powerful tool for strengthening the hospital’s relationship with women age 25 – 64: the family healthcare decision makers. The program’s mission is to empower women with the knowledge and confidence to make informed health care and well-being decisions for themselves and their loved ones.

The program functions primarily as a locally-branded, free community resource and a comprehensive health education program. Members attend monthly Healthy Woman events designed to improve the emotional, physical and fiscal well-being of women and their families -- and to build loyal connections to the hospital and its physicians. Healthy Woman should also be used strategically as a brand platform to promote all the women’s services at a hospital and to assist in meeting the objectives of the marketing plan. By educating women to be good healthcare consumers, the program positions the sponsoring hospital as the trusted health resource and health service provider—ultimately directing new patient volume to our hospital and physicians.
